Just me. Just songs.
I was born with an undiagnosable brain dysfunction, having seizures, and with blue skin dur to oxygen deprivation. I would spend much of my youth on strong, mind-altering medication, I would ultimately end up being declared fully disabled on psychiatric grounds, and I've had to be committed to five different psychiatric facilities in three different states. These days, the primary thrust of my overall creative efforts is the advocacy work that I seek to do for the mentally ill and the mentally disabled. These are my songs.

Story behind the song
My father passed away back in 1978 and I wrote this lyric in his memory for Father’s Day back in 2008. Steve Cupo saw the lyric, picked it up, played it, sang it, and he did an amazing job producing it. And Steve - thanks for doing so much work on this one, man - it’s a special job on a special piece and I really do appreciate it.
Lyrics
If He Could See Me Now Verse 1: My father passed away When I was only ten But I can still recall The dad he was back then He was larger than life I was his biggest fan He loved me so much… ...I thought he was Superman Chorus: If my father saw me now I wonder what he’d say About the life I’ve lived ...The man I am today I still follow in his footsteps ...Do the best I know how I wonder what he’d say If he could see me now Verse 2 I’ve done the best I could To do just like he did Be a husband for my wife A father for my kids I work hard and treat folks The best that I know how What would my father say If he could see me now Chorus: If my father saw me now I wonder what he’d say About the life I’ve lived ...The man I am today I still follow in his footsteps ...Do the best I know how I wonder what he’d say If he could see me now Bridge: I’ve stumbled…I’ve fallen… But I got this far somehow I wonder what dad would say If he could see me now Chorus: If my father saw me now I wonder what he’d say About the life I’ve lived ...The man I am today I still follow in his footsteps ...Do the best I know how I wonder what he’d say If he could see me now If He Could See Me Now (c) 2008, by W.
