Story behind the song
this song is completely alien. it is based on a diminished minor pattern, but diatonically(?) reproduced over the g b and e strings, starting at the 12th fret. it utilizes patterns such as a held note on the 15th fret of the b string and a tapped note on the 18th fret of the g string, allowing for minor second intervals creating dissonance in fast tapped phrases. this piece is a two parter, the first full of wild crazy dissonant tapping riffs, the second, a back-to-earth passage which is probably the closest to thing to a generic metal-core song i've ever written, though it adapts themes presented in the first half of the song to a more listenable format.
i had the written this piece out in its entirety a year or two ago, but lost it after needing to reformat my computer. luckily, i remember most of the riffs, although as far as phrasing goes it seems to have lost a lot of the urgency and majesty that the original guitar pro chart contained. i remember the best riffs, though, and the second section in it's entirety, so hopefully i'll be able to recreate to some extent what the original song was. or maybe it will be even better!
