KaBERTRAM!!! ...it's all about the music.
Welcome to KaBertram!!! - an explosion of sound, motion, entertainment, and talented people from all around the world, all making music together. And if KaBertram! was a hurricane, then Ray Bertram would be the eye at the center of the storm. Ray, a life-long "compulsive writer," started writing at a very age and he's never stopped. When Ray turned his writing in the direction of lyrics in 2008, things really started hopping. Working together with good friend and partner, musician/song-writer/producer and creative genius John Surbaugh, Ray co-founded BCC Global: The Back Country Connection, which made it possible for him to take his writing and cover the world with it. Ray has now seen his writing produced into songs in the United States (Tennessee, California, Ohio, North Caroline, Georgia), Sweden, The Netherlands, South Africa, England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, and beyond. In 2010, Ray and another one of his frequent partners, Swedish singer/musician/song-writer/producer Anders Larson, were signed by the prominent Swedish promotional house, Hit Works, and in the time since numerous of their songs have been placed under contract and aggressively marketed all around the world. And, to date, Ray's writing has been produced into songs covering many genres, including Pop, Euro-Pop, Folk-Rock, Country, Rock-a-billy, Adult Contemporary, Jass/Swwing, Rap, and more. Ray continues to write and to continually direct his creative energies onward and upward, always striving to reach higher and to move in new directions. Story behind the song
Wow, what a fun project this one turned out to be! lol John and I love the SongWriter101.com Internet website and all the folks there to death. Once upon a time there was a question in one particular strand in the site, the question raised a lot of other questions, a lot of discussion occurred…and then one of the site moderators - Moderator 8 - entered into the strand, answered all of the questions, did his best to resolve the confusion, and did so in such a polite and diplomatic fashion that I couldn’t help but be impressed. It occurred to me that nobody had probably ever written a song about an Internet site moderator…then it occurred to me how much fun it was just to SAY “Moderator 8”...and then one thing just kind of lead to another lol. John agreed that it was a fun lyric, he picked it up as a personal project, and I love how he turned it into a fun song - the last line is a total killer lol. It may or may not be for everybody but we’re always gotten a definite kick out of it - and we hope that you enjoy listening to it as much as we’ve enjoyed producing it. Oh, and special thanks to Moderator 8… :-)
Lyrics
Moderator 8 Verse 1: I’m finding my own way On the Internet As lost and confused As I think I can get Yeah, I’m stuck on the web And I’m starting to sink I don’t know what to do I don’t know what to think I’m at my fav’rit site Lost in another strand When Moderator 8 Gives me a helping hand Chorus: Moderator 8 Drops into my strand And with a friendly post Gives me a helping hand I was down in the dumps… ...But now I’m doin’ great Thank you for helping me Moderator 8 Verse 2: I don’t know where you’re from Or just where you might be I don’t even know If you’re a “he” or a “she” But having you around Gives me peace of mind And I love how you drop In from time to time Yeah, when we need you You step up to the plate So we’d all like to say Thank you, Number 8 Chorus: Moderator 8 Drops into my strand And with a friendly post Gives me a helping hand I was down in the dumps… ...But now I’m doin’ great Thank you for helping me Moderator 8 See ya later, moderator! “Moderator 8” (c) 2008, by W.
