Story behind the song
Who hasn't said goodbye to someone when it was raining?
Lyrics
Goodbye in the Rain (Ed Rhoades) My life is like a restless river, I wish I knew where I belong I know you tried to deliver a place that I could call my home Goodbye, goodbye You go your way and I'll go mine Somethings never change We always say goodbye in the rain We had something I feel it still but time has passed and now you're gone We drank the wind, we drank our fill the pilgrims somehow carry on Goodbye, goodbye You go your way and I'll go mine Somethings never change We always say goodbye in the rain (Instrumental of verse) Goodbye, goodbye You go your way and I'll go mine Somethings never change We always say goodbye Goodbye, goodbye You go your way and I'll go mine Somethings never change We always say goodbye in the rain
