Lyrics
the light lays silver on the road a trail of memories pave the way i feel the stones beneath my feet a wild wind whispers the night away chorus: the years are wearing wings this is the last song i'll ever sing for you, for you one day here another gone i never question the hand of fate my heart hides in the shadow of the moon and the hour is getting late chorus i ran through the night by your side flyin on the wind without fear the starlight somehow strengthens me now softens the sting of my tears chorus

I think the lyrics in this song are very poetic. Really nicely delivered in a very emphatic touching way.

Another excellent recording. Enjoyable listen. Always enjoy listening to your vocals. The arrangement of the music is very catchy and a delight to hear and now it's stuck in my head. Excellent arrangement.
Great collab, Gabe and Dan! The mix of vocal, instruments, and lyrics is wonderful. I especially loved how Dan's excellent Alto Sax "sang" with your emotive voice, Gabe. You are a remarkable duo in Music and Life.

Hi Gabe, First thing that struck me was the production was in fact up a level and I heard similiar comments so just not me. Musically a very pleasant listen. And of course I like the sax additions sitting quite nicely in the mix. Vocals are always a highlight of your songs. Nice work.

Wonderful vibe, yet another treat. Love how the separated dual acoustics set the stage and drive the ambiance, such sweet tone. Beautifully sung top class lyrics with spot on and creative wrap-around melodies. Dan's additions shine as well, what a team!

Really liked the lyrics on this one. Geat imagery brought to life by your pro vox. Also enjoyed the sounds of the new 12 string and of course young Dan's fine sax work. True what they say about them apples i guess. Nice one here gabe...well done!

You've got a great quality to your recording Gabe, guitar sounding very rich and crisp and your vocals, to me your greatest asset, every song you sing is just a pleasure to listen to, not to mention the great lyrics you write. I like the minimal sax solo too that Dan plays, suits the song perfectly. I'm a believer in melodic content, not how many notes one can squeeze in a bar. Good stuff, keep up the great works.
