this instrumental was born from a riff junior came up with on bass. that riff is the intro riff to part two and everything that is the saga of The War Within was born from that riff pretty much. I play the riff on the guitar in this part and draw it out while junior plays a droning bass part. we double tracks and reversed them too and came out with this. The guitars slowly rise through the first half to a crescendo and then slowly fade out again
