Story behind the song
This was originally a song that was a challenge given to me by a friend in Cali, he liked a previous song and wanted me to make a Hip-Hop track (i guess something that would have the qualities worthy to be used for records). i quickly accepted the challenge with the confidence i could finish this song in less than 6 hours.....it took me over 10 hours to complete. although i had a lot of the song laid out.....a part of me was very doubt flu of the song not being "hip-hop" enough, to the point where i opened up around 3-4 sets and started a few new songs that i would consider "mainstream". i'm still a little upset at the fact i considered stooping so low that i would attempt to make a mainstream style track. the only reason i decided not to delete this song entirely was the constant telling of myself "don't change your sound because of self doubt; this is your music make it the way you know how to". he loved the track; and i still play this song to this day in amazement of the chill RnB feel i get from this simple track. hopefully i'll go back in and re-do it and freshen the whole song up
