To the tune of "American Pie" and the lyrics of "The Saga Begins" (note - much better sonically in hi-fi) Illustrates one of the ills of the Liberal Mindset. american_way_sing_07e.mp3

Lyrics
(latest revision) Not so long ago, in a country we all know, its character was under an attack; Well, I thought me and my trusty pen could knock some sense into the din and maybe save them from what their character lacked; But their response, it didn't thrill me, they were all addicted to government money; they couldn't escape from that gas, they were perpetually stuck in low-class; I took some notes down from the scene, tried to formulate just what I'd mean when I asked them where their good character's been, that's when I penned this song... and we were singing, Hey, hey, the American way has been corrupted by the shiftless and the Democrat game, who get votes for free money so the shiftless can stay, saying, "Soon you're going to all be this way, soon you're going to all be this way..." "This way" meant we'd all be government slaves, some not even old enough to shave, because their parents knew only the welfare state; Soon they would have a King and Queen, Democrats, both, it's plain to see, ruling over all the mindless zombie slaves; "Let the government do it," became their chant, "They can do it, but we can't," my heart was broke, it's true, so I made a wager or two - on how I could kick them in the ass, expose their wayward ways amid their chants, well I knew that I was taking a chance with these drugged-out zombie slaves; and we were singing, Hey, hey, the American way has been corrupted by the shiftless and the Democrat game, who get votes for free money so the shiftless can stay, saying, "Soon you're going to all be this way, soon you're going to all be this way..." My words were not aimed at Washington but at the minds and hearts of all the ones who were tricked into addiction to government aid; I figured I'd aim for the voting booth where lies were overwhelming truth and there I'd bite them with my satirical ways; but the King and Queen were working hard to keep the addicts in their deck of cards - their propaganda they spewed over the major medias they ruled; the character of the land kept spiraling down, addicts multiplied, the children frowned, "How could they have elected all these Robin Hood clowns?" and in their despair, they sang, Hey, hey, the American way has been corrupted by the shiftless and the Democrat game, who get votes for free money so the shiftless can stay, saying, "Soon you're going to all be this way, soon you're going to all be this way..." I caught a ride back to my home, I locked the door, disconnected the phone, if I failed, I'd prefer to be alone; It wasn't long before the war of thoughts were fought, ideals reborn that were stirring something new to save the day; and in the end the lies had died, deceit blew up, propaganda fried; liberal tyrant's plans were croakin', their big machines were broken; and the names that I admired most on the Declaration nearly became toast, but their thoughts joined in, and bad character became a ghost, and people began to work again; and they were singing, Hey, hey, the American way has been corrupted by the shiftless and the Democrat game, who get votes for free money so the shiftless can stay, saying, "Soon you're going to all be this way, soon you're going to all be this way..." and they were singing Hey, hey, the American way has been corrupted by the shiftless and the Democrat game, who get votes for free money so the shiftless can stay, saying "Soon you're going to all be this way."
