Hi and thanks for stopping by. A little about me, I am more of a poet than a performer - words intrigue me - but have always found myself at the center of attention. I think I get that attribute from my mother. I usually write and play for my own enjoyment. Therefore, a lot of my original work is too introspective for pop audiences that don't like to think about the message in the music. Some folks cover the meaning with flashy music and are very successful, even when there is no meaning at all. I am the converse, believing that the music is there to support the words. With that being said, it is often hard to find the right mix of music with words. I have plenty of both that don't want to mesh. Here's a link if you would like to read of few of my selected poems that are almost good enough to read. I'm not proud, just stupid, and decided to post them anyway: I am a folk musician at heart, with influences that include gospel, bluegrass, and irish ballads. As you might can tell from the slightly ecclectic gathering of cover songs I've included on this site, my influences are wide, yet they all seem to have a common bond to me. Thanks for taking a listen and a look. If you like what you hear, please join my fan club.

Story behind the song
Going through a "slight" bit of depression
Lyrics
Wakin’ to the silence of the mornin’ Reachin’ for a song to start the day Disregard the surgeon general’s warnin’ Gonna’ die of somethin’ anyway Peekin’ out the window at the comin’ of the dawn Sifting through some mem’ries I thought were dead and gone Tired of people tellin’ me what they think’s right and wrong I’ve been… Hangin’ on a short rope too long Shuffle outta bed into the kitchen Wipe away the evenin’ from my eye Cut my finger - do the stichin’ What’s it gonna’ help me if I cry Grab a cup of coffee and I turn the TV on A politician’s tellin’ lies and a preacher’s singin’ songs Should get goin’, but my mind’s already gone I’ve been… Hangin’ on a short rope too long Need a rainbow to lift my spirit Nothin’ but a dark December sky Grab a bottle; don’t wanna’ hear it Call the boss and tell a lie. Trade a little silver for a half an ounce of gold Spring is on the way, but I think it’s gonna’ snow Heard my momma say, “Gonna’ ketch your death o’ cold” I’ve been… Hangin’ on a short rope too long Deafened by the silence of the ev’nin’ Strum a little tune to end the day Wash away the mem’ries I’ve been seein’ Dreams’ll have to wait another day Stumble to the bedroom, but the sheets have gotten cold Pull the curtain down on the window to my soul It’s a brave new world out there, but I feel so f*** in’ old I’ve been...
