In 1997 at age 38 started to sing karaoke in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui State. Since then he really would feel a passion for singing and dreamed for stages and claps. In 2008 friendly relations made him join a Portuguese club in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, where in June 2009 he would sing, as always, some karaoke songs. In this club there is a group of soloist-singers to entertain both club members and Caracas Portuguese community called Estrellas Lusitanas (Lusitanian Stars). Its manager invited Oscar to participate in the Annual Song Festival of the Federation of Portuguese Clubs of Venezuela Feceporven held on July 11, 2009 at another Portuguese Club in Valencia, Carabobo State, with the song El Gorrión (The Sparrow). This way, at his 49, Oscar would debut as singer. He would think his dreams came true, his enthusiasm increased and began his rehearsals every week with the group of soloists. With them Oscar would know the Portuguese music and became fan especially for fados. On November 20, 2009 Oscar received his first standing ovation when he performed in Portuguese language a fado called Canoas Do Tejo (Lisbon River Boats) which had won more than 2,600 views on YouTube as Fado de Lisboa in just the first year of broadcasting. In 1997 at age 38 started to sing karaoke in Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui State. Story behind the song
Between January and April 2012 I frequented a bar near my house where I met Colombian brothers, so they mainly listened vallenatos, and I enjoyed to friend my new brothers. I began to like those songs of Diomedes Diaz, but I was caught by the music and lyrics of one in particular: "Amarte Mas No Pude" (I Couldn't Love You More) of great beauty and expressive power, written by the marvelous composer of the Colombian Guajira Marciano Martinez. Then I thought it had to use more channels to honor a culture so pretty as from Colombia. So The Muses sent me a Dominican bachata with Cuban touches that I request for the arrangements and guitar to Juan Gutierrez and sax to Cesar Eclipse Montilla. The story behind the song is about a grown man that remembers with nostalgia the time when he went to Christ to mitigate the pain he felt when the love of his life neglected him. Without thinking about him she enjoyed top positions until loses all. Over the years she wants return to him but it was too late, for the great love he once felt has gone forever.
Lyrics
