Lyrics
Sweet red wine and honky tonk lies (Verse 1) You say that I’ve got beautiful eyes And that you’d love to buy me another glass of wine And if I wasn’t fighting the lonely inside I’d tell you that you could take a hike (Chrous) But I’ll play the game with my eyes opened wide I’m not sure how far I’ll let you go I know you want me to go home with you tonight and I'm tired of being alone (Verse 2) Sweet red wine and honky tonk lies Your telling me all those old familiar..tried and true lies Trying to mess up my mind so I’ll go home with you tonight With Sweet red wine and honky tonk lies (Bridge) but Im tired of being alone Im not sure how far I"ll let this go I know you want me to go home with you tonight But I may just go on home alone Verse 3 Sweet Red Wine and Honky Tonk Lies I could walk out of this place with my head held high But its so cold at home when one is all alone So I think I will go home with you tonight (repeat Chours) Written by Juanita ford / vonee rose c-2011 (Edited edition with rewrites) Writers Juanita Ford Pub and Vonee Rose Music (c)2012 affilate BMI..

Hi Vonee, This song is excellent. Dont think I had heard this one. Great hearing the story from the other side of the table (Womans point of view). LOL! A song that speaks truth never misses. Musicianship is excellent on this one. Great collab. P.S. Loved the harmony on this one.

Howdy Country Gal, Vonee Rose, Great hearing from ya and I'm sorry for the long delay gettin' back to ya since Monday. My day work has also taken my nights of late. Anywho, thank you for the comment on the Hank song....you're far too kind!!! Now on the other hand, this one that you and Juanita cooked up sounds like country rolled up in a glass of Honky Tonk wine......it goes down smoothe and makes a body think about that situation....times when a person is borderline lonely on the fence of giving into a possible one nighter and the consequences that could ensue..........or just walking away and remaining true to themselves. Mighty fine lyrics about confronting oneself in the draught of loneliness with sharks and dolphins in the sea of love. You delivered this song in style with strong country tradition Ms. Vonee.......truely engaging and well done!!!!!! Respectfully, Wade
