Story behind the song
By contrast the Marquis DeSade was accused of poisoning two prostitutes in an age before the overdose concept. A virgin, he told the two loose women they could have as much laudanum as they wanted thinking he could bugger with abandon while they slept it off. Some people say he planned the overdose for even more sordid reasons, but much of the character of his later fiction was in bitter reaction to an unjust incarceration. He changed the world as his revenge. Heard of Sadism?
