By a couple orders of magnitude this seems to be my most popular song. Nathan really hit this one 'out of the park' with his reflective lyric.
Story behind the song
Nathan's lyric almost won the April 2012 Muse's Muse lyric contest.
Lyrics
I’m missing her
Verse 1
Used to be a time when she held me
Spellbound in her blue eyes
Days spent dreaming about the future
Beneath clear Carolina skies
Verse 2
A farm girl she loved the country
Purple flowers; yellow ones too
A rainbow after a soft April shower
She had a heart pure and true
Chorus
Sun’s coming up on another day
It’s been two weeks since she went away
And I’m missing her, yes, I’m missing her
And I'm missing her in so many ways
Verse 3
Smiles and garden grown dinners
Warm biscuits and her sweet iced tea
She always strived to be a winner
The best somebody she could be
Chorus
Sun’s coming up on another day
It’s been two weeks since she went away
And I’m missing her, yes, I’m missing her
And I'm missing her in so many ways
