A jazzy positive song about overcoming obstacles and taking on the world.
Female Jazz Vocalist
I love to sing.... so here it is.
Story behind the song
This song is from a short film that I wrote, starred in, produced and edited about a young woman who faces many challenges. I wrote this song in Northern California and emailed me singing it to my brother who wrote the piano part. We got together, put the song together, and this is what we got.
Lyrics
My cup may not be full
Of golf and jewels and rubies
But it's full of happiness
And wonder at the world
I don't allow little things
To get me down, oh no
I just smile and remember
There's nothing I can't handle
There's nothing I can't handle
I've had my share of moments
Where I want to give it all up
But something deep inside me
Speaks softly and says
There's no situation
And no person's conversation
And no lack of inspiration
There's nothing I can't handle
There's nothing I can't handle
There's nothing I can't handle
At time life's demanding
And one is overcome with emotion
I just have to stop and think
The sun is gonna shine tomorrow
No matter what happens today
So I'll keep on smiling
There's nothing I can't handle
There's no situation
And no person's conversation
And no lack of inspiration
There's nothing I can't handle
There's nothing I can't handle
There's nothing I can't handle
