Only exhausted air filling my clasping hand
Wondering... why do I even resist?
I always knew it would come down to this
Struggling to breathe as sand fills my mimicking mouth

Another set back... now I'm 10 steps behind
Searching for happiness but hurt is what I find
Love is a battlefield of painful attraction
In a land filled with addicts looking for satisfaction
