Old-style riding song, sittin' round the campfire harmonizing with the guys and the coyotes. * With humble thanks to Randy Newman for writing a classic.

Old rock band guy from the '60s. Bass player mostly in bands. Play guitar, piano & mandolin for fun. These recordings are things I've made at home.
I'm a semi-retired musician who has been playing music since the 1960s. I have mostly played bass in the bands, but I also play guitar, mandolin & piano.

Story behind the song
I've always liked this song. Very nice chord changes and melody. I recorded myself singing all the harmonies I could improvise in one sitting. I wanted to capture the feel of the guys sitting around camp singing with an acoustic guitar.
Lyrics
I'm a sun of the prairie and the wind that sweeps the plains and I'm goin' to Arizona just a rider in the rain
