Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia singer-songwriter. In her fourth decade of making music, Heidi is taking a slightly softer approach... but her music remains vocally interesting and the lyrics are definitely worth checking out. If you like Patti Smith, you will probably like Heidi. Have fun and thanks for listening.

Story behind the song
While going to school and playing in the band I worked full-time as a waitress at a restaurant named The Cheese Cellar (for five years). Please listen until the end of the song to hear Tom Lukomski's guitar licks. Tom died in 2008. His amazing guitar licks live on. This is the song that Tom jammed to when he auditioned for the band. Needless to say, he passed the audition.
Lyrics
WAITRON (1978) Keep your hair all in place While your running around Keep the sweat off your face Keep your feet on the ground Smile at the people While they're picking on you Sell them on your smile And sell them on the food Bring more butter with the bread And don't bring anything old And most important Make sure nothing's cold Keep it all hot Keep it all clean Keep it all coming Be there at the scene Keep it all smiley Never be mean Keep the coffee grounds fresh Be there at the scene Be there at the scene Be there at the scene For get about the pressure There's no time for that Forget who you are But don't forget where you're at If your feet complain They are just being rude Cry all they want There's nothing you can do Bring the martini And don't spill a drop And get back to the kitchen While everything's still hot Keep it all hot Keep it all clean Keep it all coming Be there at the scene Keep it all smiley Never be mean Keep the coffee grounds fresh Be there at the scene Be there at the scene Be there at the scene You say How much longer do I have to go on like this? I'm an artist, I'm an actor I'm a writer, I'm a scientist I’m a pro Five years behind Maybe five years ahead I've seen people all around me Who do it till there dead I've seen old and young Fall into the pit Of being obsessed and caressed And upsetted by tips Keep it all hot Keep it all clean Keep it all coming Be there at the scene Keep it all smiley Never be mean Keep the coffee grounds fresh Be there at the scene Be there at the scene Be there at the scene ,

Great song. Tom was truly a brilliant guitarist. Highly melodic. Here he doesn't simply repeat the melody but states a similar compatible melody that builds upon the actual melody, then takes off from there. Every note was well thought out and executed to perfection.
