A nastalgic song about happier times.

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Bridgette Koteles. I've been involved with music since I was a small child. I started writing songs at the age of 18, and I try to write songs that will touch someone to the core. I love to write and sing songs of all types. I try to challenge myself where I can. One of my biggest challenges is producing the music to my songs. I've always said, I'm a singer/song writer first, and a composer only when I have to be. I'm in it for the music, because to me, that's where it's at, but I sure wouldn't complain, if it went somewhere.

Story behind the song
This is a song I wrote while listening to The Beatles, and feeling quite nastalgic. I wanted to write a song that told a story, while giving the listeners vivid pictures of someone's happy times gone, but not forgotten.
Lyrics
I remember how it was back when, My mind still goes back there, every now and then, The time we ran to catch the train, Singing Beatles songs, while walking in the rain, Though time has passed, I still remember, You kept me warm, in mid November,, Those days together, in the fall, Bits and pieces, I still recall, It was you and me, And your old guitar, You were just a wish, I made upon a star, Though the star burnt out, I still can see, Once upon a time you believed, You did love me, Little did I know back then, I would think of you, someday again, How your hair would glisson in the midday sun, How you told your Mom, I was the one, Catching a ride, in the back of a truck, Praying like hell, we didn't get stuck, It was you and me, And your old guitar, You were just a wish, I made upon a star, Though the star burnt out, I still can see, Once upon a time you believed, You did love me, Time has passed, but the memories live on, I hope you'll think of me, when you hear this song, It was you and me, And your old guitar, You were just a wish, I made upon a star, Sometimes I wonder, where we'd be today, If the prison of my past, didn't get in our way. Though it's over now, I still can see, Once upon a time you believed, You did love me, You did love me.
