Story behind the song
I used to pass a used car lot up in Milford, CT. on the way to National Guitar Workshop years ago. The cars had the phrase "Brand Spankin' Used" soaped on the windshields in the lot. It struck me that people are the same after some wear and tear, some love, some loss, and the passage of time.
