A song about two people together yet so far apart.

Thanks for stopping by! My name is Bridgette Koteles. I've been involved with music since I was a small child. I started writing songs at the age of 18, and I try to write songs that will touch someone to the core. I love to write and sing songs of all types. I try to challenge myself where I can. One of my biggest challenges is producing the music to my songs. I've always said, I'm a singer/song writer first, and a composer only when I have to be. I'm in it for the music, because to me, that's where it's at, but I sure wouldn't complain, if it went somewhere.
Story behind the song
This is a song I wrote at 3 in the morning, while trying to piece together the scattered thoughts in my head. I wrote it as though I were singing to the one I lost. It tells the tale of what the lack of comunication and openness can do to a relationship, and what happens when one person feels that they give more than their partner does.
Lyrics
Donovan,
You never needed me,
Donovan,
The way that I needed you,
It's the end,
Of everything we could've had,
Donovan,
I feel so sad and blue,
Donovan,
I gave all I had to you,
All I asked,
Is that you would give me the same,
Donovan,
You never let me in to your heart,
Donovan,
Your Appathy drove us apart,
And broke my heart,
Donovan,
Donovan,
You wouldn't talk to me,
Donovan,
Or opened up to me,
Can't you see,
That's the only thing I ever asked,
Donovan,
I tried to be patient,
Oh Donovan,
But there was no changing it,
Can't you see,
I needed so much more than that,
Donovan,
You never let me in to your heart,
Donovan,
Your Appathy drove us apart,
And broke my heart,
Donovan
Donovan,
You're too use to being alone,
Donovan,
You're better off out own your own,
So I'll let you go,
Donovan,
You never needed me,
Donovan,
The way that I needed you,
It's the end,
Of everything we ever had,
Donovan,
Ooh,
Donovan
