the first song i wrote with my piano when i was 14. the simplicity may reflect that fact, but i prefer "pure."

Story behind the song
this is the song i'm probably most proud of, simply because it took me 14 long years of strife and struggle to be able to write a song with words using the piano. it also generally describes my outlook on life, and the lyrics were written down by the river i used to spend my summers riding my bike near, and i was inspired by solace & beauty to create. i also collaborated with my friend grace who played violin to this a few years ago for our music theory class, i would love to have a recording of that..but this is just me and the keys.
Lyrics
a thousand things to say welcome silence again oh, if you could get inside my thoughts you would see paler than pale tell me your secrets from the underworld then disappear into the sea chorus rarely is as burning as the dawn casually i slip away past the graveyard and go down through the iron barricades they are nothing like me travel eternity and back again porcelain, i will never be and the memories i keep, i keep chorus escape to the water little halo around your head promising wings for the passing of the years release me from this undying pain such misery, it reigns chorus escape to the water little halo around your head promising wings for the passing of the years...
