Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia singer-songwriter. In her fourth decade of making music, Heidi is taking a slightly softer approach... but her music remains vocally interesting and the lyrics are definitely worth checking out. If you like Patti Smith, you will probably like Heidi. Have fun and thanks for listening.

Story behind the song
Not sure if there is a story to this song. I guess I was learning some life lessons. Joni said it much more effectively. I am not sure why I played with tempo so much. I guess I thought it added dynamics to the song. I do, however, think that this song has much potential for being covered. I could hear some awesome fingerpicking come out of these runs, in the right hands. Hint, hint.
Lyrics
FEEL IT (1977) C (walking run on bass line) F (walking run in bass line) Everybody walks around Feeling so much doubt The love that they are in Seems to them without C F G C F G But you don't feel it You never really feel it till it's gone You throw it away Because it's not really you You never really think That it will leave you feeling blue But you'll feel it You'll feel it when it's gone Everybody Seems to have a favorite song They turn on the radio And sure enough it's on And they will miss it They'll miss it when it's gone That same old tune You hear every day Will seem like a treasure When it goes away Cause you will miss it You'll miss it when it's gone So you better feel it While the radio is on Well nobody knows Where the good feeling goes They see it, they feel, it they grab it They let it go and wish that they had it But you better not make it a habit Cause you will miss it You'll miss it when it's gone So you better feel it While the radio is on

Interesting variations within the tempo. Love that high note you hit.

Thanks Brett. Love your feedback. I think even a banjo would be cool on this song. If you are in the Phila. area, there is a venue you should know about.
