Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia singer-songwriter. In her fourth decade of making music, Heidi is taking a slightly softer approach... but her music remains vocally interesting and the lyrics are definitely worth checking out. If you like Patti Smith, you will probably like Heidi. Have fun and thanks for listening.

Story behind the song
No real story. Same relationship as the song "Daddy." In this song I was playing around with tempo. The photo is taken on South Street. You can see Jim's Steaks in the background.
Lyrics
YOUR EYES (1977) A E A E A Your eyes they tell me what your lips never could If I could write out their message, I know it'd be good Keep your words to yourself, their only misunderstood Sometimes all I need is your eyes D A D A E A E Stare at me, stare at me; make it come through The visual drunkness I can only get from you Stare at me, tear at me; your stare never lies Sometimes all I need is your eyes It's a physical reaction your eyes get from me This fluttering and stuttering is almost guaranteed This new drug is so potent, what else could I need? Sometimes all I need is your eyes Their brown Is grounding to me Don't need a sound when you're around All I need is to see Stare at me, tear at me; make it come through The physical reaction I can only get from you When you close them, it's withdraw I go through baby Sometimes the only thing I need.... (Hang on E….) Oh, the only thing I need You can lock me up in a room With no water, no dope, no booze or no food No media, art or pollution Cats or dogs or waiting on tables No movies, no friends and no strangers Don't even make a set of keys As long as I have with me Your eyes

Never will forget this one, though you used to do it at nearly twice the speed and intensity. It's an excellent song either way. Always loved the line about going through withdrawal.

Love the musical changes and lyrics. Eyes don't lie.
