Just me. Just songs.
I was born with an undiagnosable brain dysfunction, having seizures, and with blue skin dur to oxygen deprivation. I would spend much of my youth on strong, mind-altering medication, I would ultimately end up being declared fully disabled on psychiatric grounds, and I've had to be committed to five different psychiatric facilities in three different states. These days, the primary thrust of my overall creative efforts is the advocacy work that I seek to do for the mentally ill and the mentally disabled. These are my songs.

Story behind the song
I’ve loved trains for as long as I can remember and I’ve wanted to write a lyric about a train ever since I started writing lyrics…but I couldn’t ever find a theme and a train that I really liked enough. When another writer, Jesse Blackwell (Tennessee, U.S.A.), shared some material with me for the purposes of a lyrical collab…and it was about a guy riding a train…and then I remembered that Nashville now has it’s own passenger train called The Music City Star…and then Steve Cupo (Georgia, U.S.A.) came along…and one thing just kind of lead to another lol. I liked the lyric we put together to begin with, but I’ve totally fallen in love with the song that Steve Cupo has made out of it. We hope that you enjoy it, too.
Lyrics
The Music City Star Verse 1: I’m rollin’ along Over the hills and plains Headin’ to Nashville On the best of trains East bound and down Just me and my guitar We’re ridin’ the rails on The Music City Star Chorus: The Music City Star Is rollin’ along Straight as an arrow Smooth as a song I’m Nashville bound Yeah, I’m goin’ far And I’ll get there on The Music City Star Verse 2: I got all my dreams Right here with me I’m gonna make it big In Tennessee I’ll get to Nashville I’ll make my name An’ my life won’t ever Be the same Chorus: The Music City Star Is rollin’ along Straight as an arrow Smooth as a song I’m Nashville bound Yeah, I’m goin’ far And I’ll get there on The Music City Star Bridge: Now I rock the house In this crowded bar Yeah, I’ve become A Music City star Chorus: The Music City Star Just rolls along Straight as an arrow Smooth as a song I got to Nashville Yeah, I’ve gone far And I got here on The Music City Star “The Music City Star” (c) 2008, by W.
