Heidi Wolfson is a Philadelphia singer-songwriter. In her fourth decade of making music, Heidi is taking a slightly softer approach... but her music remains vocally interesting and the lyrics are definitely worth checking out. If you like Patti Smith, you will probably like Heidi. Have fun and thanks for listening.

Story behind the song
In this song, I am getting a little more comfortable with the guitar. Someone must have shown me a blues progression. I imagine I was ecstatic. In the lyrics, I am still trying to work through my broken heart, but finally, my ballsy personality is starting to seep through.
Lyrics
TURNING COLD (1976) E A Bb E What could make you turn so cold Don't you know it's only a trap Arising from too much looking back I'm not gonna hurt you I’m not gonna let your whole life slide out And baby I would never, no, no Flaunt these precious thoughts of mine about I've stuck with you this far baby Now I'm so much more But if you can't accept my friendship Then baby I'll say nothing more I've seen you creep into the lives of other people Making them hurt, spinning your web deeper I know that you have beauty for I have seen it before But now it looks like Now it looks like Now it looks like Politeness and nothing more Is my being lonely really such a threat to you What do you think my loneliness will make me do I've started my own life The picture has changed Baby you know that nothing ever stays the same Yet you still long to be You still long to be the core of my pain Don't offer me anything baby Just be the core of my pain Doesn't one bit of your sensitivity remain I've seen you creep into the lives of other people Making them hurt, spinning your web deeper I know that you have beauty for I have seen it before But now it looks like Now it looks like Now it looks like Politeness and nothing more Politeness and nothing more What could make you turn so cold Oh baby don't you know my love can't be sold And all these precious thoughts of mine you think that I hold They could never, never be sold And what could make you look at me Stare right through me as if you didn't see I've stuck with you this far and now I'm so much more secure But if you can’t accept my friendship, then baby I’ll say nothing more If you can’t accept my friendship. Then baby I’ll say….

Great music! I was suprised that one of the songs on Mating Calls was a very early song of yours. And I thought I was well versed on your music. i better pay more attention.
