I am not a performer, I am a songwriter. I am not a good singer and I learn to play instruments just well enough to record the songs I write. But I enjoy the craft of songwriting and the recording process. I write simple songs. I like writing story songs. Feedback is always welcomed. Hope you enjoy something here.

Story behind the song
My friend Howard sent me a CD he had done called "Iguanas Don't Lie". I thought, I can't wait to hear that song. There was no song with that title. Well, we need a song like that. So I wrote one. Howard help me finish it up
Lyrics
Iguanas Don’t Lie We went down to Mexico Down to the Caribbean, Puerto Rico Off down to the Southern Seas Lying on the beeches in the gentle breeze But the way you look that satisfied smile Tells me you been cheating on me all the while Tell the truth, look me in the eye Baby don’t you know, Iguanas don’t lie They don’t lie Talk to one just yesterday You should have heard what he had to say It seems you been walking down his way With a different guy almost everyday Well, I was there and I saw it to Now you know what you have to do Fess up baby, yeah don’t deny Because now you know, Iguanas don’t lie They don’t lie We got home and very next day I made it to the pet store right away I bought me a lizard and brought it back home So now you won’t be home a lone You better watch just what you do I tell you baby I’ll know it to Because now we both know, Iguanas don’t lie They don’t lie I’m telling ya, they don’t lie Never known one to lie Honest © 2004 Danny Liggett
