A vocal track that anyone can finish producing, alter in any way, & sell. Sad love song
I've been creating all kinds of songs for over 30 years, but I never sell any of them. I try to give them away to charities that have musician spokespeople, but
Story behind the song
This never really happened with me. I was walking down the street, & came up with the melody, but with different words. When I got home, I started writing this version, but couldn't figure out a way to stop between the different stages of the song. It just kept going, until I finally came up with the idea to take it back to the beginning, then jump off of the runaway train! :)
Lyrics
I met a girl, And she came on so strong,
My heart was a'twirl, And I could do no wrong,
I bought her a drink, And gave her a wink,
But when we set our drinks aside,
I closed my eyes & then I cried.
'Cause all I could do, Was think of how it felt,
When I was with you, And how my heart would melt,
I just can't replace, That cute little face,
And when I started kissing you,
Your lips were sweet as honeydew.
And I can still see, That twinkle in your eyes,
They glistened for me, And not for other guys,
I was so sure, You made me secure,
And when you led me to your room,
My heart would sing a marching tune.
And all I could hear,
Was la la la la la la la la la la,
La do de dee dum dum da da da da da,
De do dee da da,
La do do dee,
Da da do dee,
Da da do dee,
Dum da do dee.
No, I can't forget, That night we said good-bye,
But that's what you get, When you give half a try,
It hurt I could tell, I felt it as well,
And when I thought of losing you,
My mind would slip, my knees would too.
But what can you say, Once you've decided,
That it's better this way, You do as I did,
And you stumble around, Your heart on the ground,
You know inside you can't go far,
And then I stepped into that bar.
And I met a girl,
La la la la la la la la la la la,
( Doodle & fade? )
