Story behind the song
O.K., so maybe this song is about me.... ;) I'm not sure if anyone who's reading this really wants to know how close it is to the truth. I do make quite an entrance, & am usually the life of the party. I did shave my head when I messed up my own haircut, & I kept the whiskers that were just around my mouth like that once. I do tell everybody that I meet jokes & funny stuff. Did marry a gal from Tehran, & we did stay together long after the divorce. She did go nutzo on me quite a few times. And the shrinks did think that I was delusional when I told them that I did Rock vocals, married a gal from Tehran, have bad people after me, & a special relationship with the Lord, because most schizophrenics only imagine one of those things are going on in their mind, so they didn't bother with any real test of my sanity. People in my life who know me, think that it's real funny that they thought I was crazy, so I wrote a real funny song about it. It was originally going to be,"I'm so vain, I prob'ly think this song is about me.", because I used to get jeered a lot by egomaniacs who called me an egomaniac, to make fun of them, but the insane thing was funnier.
