Story behind the song
I sang the chorus to some kids that were misbehaving, but I never hit children. I was spanked & strapped as a tot, but don't feel abused. It didn't really hurt that much, & didn't stop me from doing stupid things. Just taught me to try a little harder not to get caught. It was just the price you paid for getting caught, was all. Then halfway through writing it, it dawned on me to switch it to adult roleplay, so it's not even really about cruelty to kids at all.
