Story behind the song
I used to be a Boy Scout, & I'm more comfortable in a tent than an RV, but everybody in the RV resort kept thinking that I was feeezing in there, so I told them that I was Lava Man from the Planet Mercury to exaggerate how warm I always am with my high metabolism, to try to impress upon them that there was really no need to worry. They were much older than me, & kept calling me,"young man", & "kiddo", even though I was 55, & some kept trying to feed me. I really do goof off like a kid, cut my own hair, & seldom shave.
