It is for listeners to decide how they would describe my music when they have a chance to hear a range of material. I've only just started recording. Keep watc
I played bass in a band at Walbottle school, the T-set, with Dave Robinson from Throckley, Bri Swanson, Lemington, and Ken Wright, also Throckley, and started writing songs at this stage. I continued for a while in Dobbin with Bri and Ian Shield, also of Lemington, doing vocals and bits and pieces under Bri's direction - and did more writing. We also did a couple of them together. I then spent a few years concentrating on work and family, with some more writing in fairly recent times, until the lure of performing again (since 2005) became too much to resist! The songwriting had to go on hold for a while as I continued to work full-time until Oct 2010 whenever possible but I have written a few new songs over the last couple of years such as 'Butterflies'. See more details below and check for regular updates.

Story behind the song
Written by Sharon for their parents, who performed as a duo doing Abba covers, etc. (Wikipedia). Although Andrea gets the most attention as lead vocalist, it is Sharon who gives the Corrs their distinctive strong harmony sound. And plays violin, although we skipped that in this cover. But it means you can better hear our own vocal harmony section! Sharon set up the Corrs with Jim before Andrea and Caroline joined after finishing school. We recorded this as a fun track as AM feels we are so old - he's only 50! More seriously, the band's Mum was in hospital near us where she died awaiting a lung transplant in 1999.
Lyrics
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ee yeah x 2 We are taking it easy Bright and breezy, yeah We are living it up Just fine and dandy yeah We are caught in a haze on these lazy summer days We're spending all of our nights just laughing and kissing, yeah And it really doesn't matter if we don't eat And it really doesn't matter if we never sleep No, it really doesn't matter, really doesn't matter at all Cos we are so young now, we are so young, so young now And when tomorrow comes, we'll just do it all again x 2 All again, all again, hey yeah All again, all again, yeah, yeah, yeah We are so young (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, ee yeah) x 3 We are so young

Pete, I'm with Rodz and Harry, did you do the harmonies your self, I have always love you voice and it really shines here. After hearing it a couple time I was doing the yeahs :) I wanted to ask was the guitar plugged in or mic-ed, because it had an awesome sound. The way you produced the song gives it a live performance sound which I really enjoyed. I wish we all lived close to each other, you Harry, and Phil, man would we have a great time. Your friend and Fan Kit
