This song is still a work in progress...my mystic side again. The protagonist saves the black and blue lady from her tormentor but the event eventually sends him to the gallows where he, and he alone, gets a final look at the Blue Lady.

With the exception of the three songs that were written some time ago, this is the first song I wrote for this concept album. I may add some instrumentation before this one is a wrap.
Lyrics
THE BLUE LADY
THE FIRST MAN I SHOT WAS A DARK HEARTED SCOUNDREL
HE’D MISTREAT A WOMAN, HE’D MISTREAT A HORSE
SO WHEN I OBSERVED HIS BLACK AND BLUE LADY
I BECAME JUDGE AND A JURY OF SORTS
THEN I HAD TO RUN AND NOW I JUST WANDER
OUTSIDE THE LAW, TRAPPED INSIDE MY MIND
I WONDER IF GOOD EVER CAME FROM A GUNSHOT
AND IF THE BLUE LADY TOOK BACK HER LIFE
THEY’LL RUN ME DOWN AND THEY’LL CALL IT JUSTICE
CAUSE I’VE USED MY GUNS TO GET BY
BUT I SWEAR IT STARTED WHEN I WAS A GOOD MAN
THEN I SAW THE BLUE LADY CRY
I DREAMED I STOPPED RUNNING AND I OWNED A TAVERN
WITH A BEAUTIFUL LADY WHOSE FACE I CAN’T SEE
AND THAT OLD SALOON WAS CALLED THE BLUE LADY
BUT I WOKE UP TO HOOFBEATS COMING FOR ME
SO MY FINAL JOURNEY IS UP TOWARD A BLUE SKY
AND THERE STANDS A GALLOWS WAITING FOR ME
THEN I SEARCH THE CROWD AND THERE IS A LADY
A BEAUTIFUL LADY THAT ONLY I SEE
SO THEY’LL DROP ME DOWN AND THEY’LL CALL IT JUSTICE
CAUSE I USED MY GUNS TO GET BY
BUT I SWEAR IT STARTED WHEN I WAS A GOOD MAN
THEN I SAW THE BLUE LADY CRY
