astrum : 1. (Latin) A star, constellation. Heavenly body Originally formed in the summer of 2000 by singer Andrew Marquis, Astrum has seen its share of changes, both in line-up and music. Setting out with the goal of creating something fresh (while keeping with their familiar rock n' roll roots), they attempted to bring back an energy lost and untapped, but found it more difficult than expected. After two years, the original line-up dis-banded and Astrum was reformed. Taking the time it needed to seek out the right mix of people, Astrum is now fully ready for the task at hand, which is: changing the way people think of modern American rock n' roll music. Drawing from past and present influences, Astrum merges the sounds of 60's/70's classic rock & glam, with some of the contemporary sounds of today, creating something that is wholly their own, and distinctly American in feeling.
