Together these three wrote with fervor infusing their music with complex melodic sections. Before they knew it, they found themselves captivating audiences from all over. They have played over 100 performances in their young history. Minerva’s debut CD was released in November, 2011. The title of this CD is “Follow Me” and that’s what fans did with a feverish abandon, wanting to temporarily experience the joy of Minerva’s delightful music.

Story behind the song
“Wintersong” is a Gaelic inspired composition divulging the magnificence of a winter’s day. It is the uncertainty of the future, venturing out and finally letting go; a pure surrender to the glorious magical moment that you may not expect. This song is a poetic stream of wonder and encapsulates the aura of this trio’s sound and style. It has wonderful harmonies which give the sensation of skipping through a meadow free as a bird.
Lyrics
Wintersong Music and Lyrics by Leela Aheer Copyright Minerva (SOCAN) 2011 One hand bound back behind Two feet planted firmly found Can I create anything from a sweet and simple sound? On the air is crisp with regret Is a holy river song As the mist creeps down its leafy path I welcome you along CHORUS Hold on to icicles in the air Jump upon its crystal rings Feel the air whip soundly ‘bout Taste the freedom it too brings On the earth hard crystal packed Bowing tiny frozen strings Reflections dance forth and back Remind us of past happenings The blooming field patiently sleeps White billows blanket the seeds She frosts the skin with an icy kiss to mark eternity CHORUS 2x
