Fun song about forgetting the troubles that exist in society.
Acoustic Folk from Portland, OR
Story behind the song
At first I wasn't sure what this song was about. A lot of what I write jsut comes out and it takes time to decypher. I eventually realized that this was about problems that exist in our world and how you need to put superficial things behind you and worry about what really matters.
Lyrics
Orange Expectations
Sentiments sent spinning
From a loaded ceiling fan
Pushing down the jet stream
Building thunder in Japan
Floating over sideways
Reeling the light
Of orange expectations
A cheering crowd in the night
Joking with surprises
I’m full of nonsense talk
I’m craving admiration
Cause I crawled before I walked
Pushing through the outside
Let the water in
Flooding through the spaces
The answers are within
Throw your cares away
Leave them for another day
A good disguise is an alibi
So give your thoughts away
This sick sophistication
Another empty rail
Cellophane intentions
One more forgotten trail
Living in a circle
Without a point of view
Make fifty revolutions
Directly towards the zoo
Miles fill the heartbeat
Bananas quench the mind
Racing inspirations
A role play for a rhyme
All is just a season
And colors change again
Cancer in a phone booth
One last call for man
Throw your cares away
Leave them for another day
A good disguise is an alibi
So give your thoughts away
