A remake of a song written probably a decade ago. Coming up is the feast of Imbolc or Candlemas - lactating sheep. It is the point at which winter has reached its center and henceforth becomes closer to the Spring Equinox. Song and all tracks are me.

Story behind the song
Coming up is the feast of Imbolc or Candlemas on - lactating sheep. It is the point at which winter has reached its center and henceforth becomes closer to the Spring Equinox than the Winter Solstice. The day before that though is the First of February, the eve of Mid -Winter. From then on, it's really early Spring.
Lyrics
It's the first of February Coming to a stop The traffic and the adversaries Slide around and dodge the marks A tropical apothecary Could maybe break the ice Maybe the worst is necessary You step once; you think twice CHORUS Yeah, I'd go through the worst for you Even go to church for you Try to watch my mouth And socialize I'd blow away the smoke for you Open up the choke for you Get a new career 'Soon as this year Turns to warmer skies It's the first of February All that's holy has gone South Up here the archives of obituaries Are passed around by word of mouth I've heard there is a sanctuary Somewhere near your heart Where a blinded luminary Might find a fire in the dark CHORUS I'd go through the floor for you Go to the store for you Pick up your shoes and lend an ear I'll have the time for you Take your place in line for you Just when these days have gone their way And left us in the clear These clouds are like an emissary Who doesn't make a sound His message scatters everywhere, he just Throws it to the ground Permanently temporary Everything's gone white This First of February night
