Chuck Schaeffer Band is a tasty, original four piece rock and roll band from Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
In 2007, Chuck Schaeffer was disgusted with the bar band scene; the seemingly bottomless pit of cover bands, wearing the same outfits, playing in local beer joints 'til 2:00 am for lunch money. It was musically suffocating. While he was already well-established as a slick guitarist, what he really wanted most was recognition as a great songwriter, to front his own band and create his own sound. That was the birth of CSB. CSB has a hard rock edge, but is never hard on the ears. Their songs are overflowing with compelling melodies, clever, infectious hooks, great solos and thought-provoking lyrics. It's immediately interesting and unmistakably original.

Story behind the song
When a friend recently committed suicide, she was promptly forgotten, so I immortalized her in a song so no one would forget.
Lyrics
You even planned a certified letter This time you weren't gonna fail you couldn't have the dream that you wanted, now all the rest of us are haunted. But if you're still and listen now, you'll hear the sound The sound of the chameleon The sound of the chameleon You bit off all your pretty fingernails I heard you choke when you got the news about him. You were so determined and no one saw it coming I could've been a bit forthcoming, But it's too late, you planned your fate and all that's left is the sound of the chameleon the sound of the chameleon You were inclined to show us smilin' faces, but even I could see the traces. I guess you thought your life was already taken; another life that was forsaken. So, here we are, alone again and all that's left is the sound of the chameleon the sound of the chameleon. c2011 C. Schaeffer
