I am a Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative, Country, Funk Band
Mad Mike has been around, off and on, in various incarnations and with many different names since the mid sixties, and though it is mainly a rock band, it occasionally detours into alternative, country, and funk. For the last few years, the "band" has consisted as mostly just me, with ocasional tracks contributed by former members. October 2009 update: It's now just me, so I'm posting new material. January 2011: Still just me, but I have a couple of grandkids who may soon be joining the "band".

Story behind the song
One of my friends commented that my last song was a sad song, so I decided to write a brighter more positive song. This is it.
Lyrics
Memories, like footprints in the sand on the beach of the sea of life, Eroded by the tides of time, fade slowly into oblivion. But the memory of love is engraved indelibly into our consciousness, flaming brilliantly across our minds I remember the first kiss, of a love yet unrequited, And I remember the first time we made love, Slowly, gently, then, as our passion ignited, It seemed we floated above the earth Our love will stand the test of time A love to last forever, a love sublime A love to set the standard for all time The ultimate paradigm So many years ago, but it seems like yesterday I can close my eyes and hear you say (I love you) As yesterday becomes tomorrow I face today without sorrow Our love will stand the test of time A love to last forever, a love sublime A love to set the standard for all time The ultimate paradigm The memory of love is engraved indelibly into our consciousness, flaming brilliantly throughout a lifetime

Excellent production, great song! You need a better singer though...
