From Vince Guaraldi's "Charlie Brown Christmas" songbook, a couple of tunes (Christmas Time is Here and The Christmas Song) for a fledgling rhythm section.
A trio of my HS students and I decided to make a band on our off time. Only the percussionist had any experience playing jazz at all, and only he and the bass player can read. Was a reasonably rewarding experience for all.
