Story behind the song
One of my favorite songs that we have ever written, sadly I haven't found a copy that isn't all chewed up, so for now this is the best copy I have. Lots of crazy stuff on this one. First 9 vocal parts from John, yes 9. We did some tricks to make it sound not so much like one guy 9 times and more like several different people. First we dicked with the tape recorder speed, speeding up some tracks and slowing down others. To speed up a track we had to slow down the recorder as John sang then speed it back up on playback, kinda gave some of the tracks a more "Female" sound to it. Slowing down a track is just the reverse process. This has what I used to call my triple chorus guitar sound on the rhythm part. I used a compressor and 3 yes 3 chorus pedals on the guitar. VERY thick almost keyboard sound to it. And of course more pinched harmonics on the solo.
