Lyrics
Highly intelligent she was she knew She’d never had to study Straight from the heart she wrote her tests And scored better than anybody She couldn’t understand How simple people managed To work so hard to be like her When they were so disadvantaged So still she soars above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle She flies so high above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle She cries so hard and flies so proud Like a suicidal eagle So still she soars above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle She told this often to her therapist Who always reassured her That she had earned what she had got And anyway it didn’t matter cause she was Just too intelligent To be like other people So still she soars above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle So still she soars above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle She flies so high above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle She cries so hard and flies so proud Like a suicidal eagle So still she soars above the crowd Like a suicidal eagle
