Lyrics
Kay taught elementary religion At St. Lawrence the Martyr School After school she cleaned houses For busy professionals in their prime And sometimes in her dreams She didn’t have to drive She had a ride She had a ride No need to drive She had a ride Ms. Olson had a plan a teaspoon of sugar In the kitchen in a corner on the floor If any were missed she’d call The maid service and complain about Kay And sometimes in her dreams She didn’t have to drive She had a ride She had a ride No need to drive She had a ride Ms. Olson's plan succeeded Kay was fired New help always lifted Ms. Olson's spirits Kay went home that night and prayed She would get it right next time she was someone’s maid And sometimes in her dreams She didn’t have to drive She had a ride She had a ride No need to drive She had a ride Kay taught elementary religion
