Story behind the song
Inspired by our friends for the 2011 Future Sound of Worship Conference, Rochester, MI. The lyrics of the foundational hymn (yep, there's one in there, somewhere) date to the late 1700's. "All Hail the Power of Jesus Name" has been the most arranged hymn to date. The choral settings we used are from a 1905 composition by the Romantic era pianist/composer Amy Beach. Some might recognize a brief excerpt of the popular hymnal tune by O. Holden included in our intro. All else, well, is D-D-Praz, of course - something different, the old and the new interpreted our way.
