I suppose this song is somewhere in the realm of pop rock... At any rate, it's atypical of what I aspire to musically. But, it exists for nostalgic reasons: it was the best result of my church band's first time in a professional studio.

I don't know yet.
Well, I haven't uploaded much yet. It's mostly going to be stuff from my days in my church band until I get some quality stuff of my own (which requires some free time). I'll see what I can do later on. If you're into Christian rock or just soft rock in general, maybe you'll enjoy what I have now. I don't know what I'll have up when I get the time, though.

Story behind the song
Like I said in the description, the song exists because of nostalgia. It doesn't at all represent music I play, or even listen to for that matter. But, then again, I think that's one of the reasons it's so important. I had been in my church band for about a year and a half at that point (as had the others), and we had established quite a bit of chemistry. It wasn't just because we were tight musicians for our age, it was because we were willing to play anything. Since only one of us really listened to Christian rock at all, that was some sort of a prerequisite, but it's part of the reason we worked so well together. So, when we finished the two songs we had planned on, the other guitarist requested we record a song he had lyrics for. There was somewhat of a rhythm and chord progression, but we changed that. My work was mostly in lead guitar, although we ended up with three rhythm tracks by day's end. The bassist adapted perfectly, and the drummer, as usual, managed to complement the song perfectly. Funny what went into a simplistic song: open C tuning (something I had never used before, not like that was a big deal), three rhythm guitar tracks, and vocal harmonies. And now I'm just reminiscing. I guess with the above you can see fairly well how much this song means to me from a personal standpoint. It's not my style by any means, yet I still find it very enjoyable simply because it was the first truly solid performance I (and fellow bandmates) have on a record. Oh, and the picture? The aforementioned guitarist and drummer.
Lyrics
7:30 It's so early And I think that I'll be Going to sleep Something tells me You're not dreaming Of me [chorus] I'm so sick and you're kissing Some bastard you'll be missing So don't think that you're hearing The last song that I'm singing Then it hits me You don't miss me So maybe I should Leave Hated as we Share some thin sweet I guess not My hope drops You won't go away You look so nice tonight
