Don Johnny is a rapper that came from Ontario, but was raised in Regina, Saskatchewan since he was 13. He is from Saugeen Ojibway First Nation's #29, located in Southampton, Ontario. He first got his taste of live recording when he was 16. Since then he's been writing, producing, and recording his own style of rap. He now writes, produces, and records music with up and coming artist's. He has grown as an artist to write and produce that people will listen too, rather then just making music that has no meaning and making for just his ears only. Over the years he has learned to keep it simple, yet the messages in the songs heartfelt. He knows he has a true, God given talent, and does no take it for granted. With that being said! He now shares his knowledge with others around him that are just starting out in the music scene. That is the best part about it, watching others learn what he's teaching them and making something productive out of it. As he grows, so does his music. making music for the people is his ambition to only keep getting better. It's clear to see that music is his way of living, and to express what so many other Native Aboriginals are not given the opportunity to express. To address the facts of their way of life, and to weigh out the pro's and con's of growing up in a race that is often looked down upon. Music is, and always will be his way to vent. Thank you Creator for my talent, and this life you have given me. Meegwetch!

Story behind the song
After a long period of time that I've struggled with drug/alcohol addiction. Seeing many people die from it. It's about time I did something about it, give these fellow addicts hope, that there is a way too live sober.
