The man behind the music is Paris Toon, producer, lyricist, composer and driving force of all that he engages in. Paris ritualistically defaults to his “gut” when the time comes to gather musicians and give birth to new songs. This is the method to his rarely observed madness. Since Mothers Favorite Child is a product of this method, it is only natural that its musicians and vocalists would be chosen to provide the soundtrack to the more deeply shaded thoughts of Paris Toon, the man. The music of the Paris Toon project revolves around the mother of all emotions, Love. As many individuals have experienced, love can fuel so many other emotions and sensations and it can also take many shapes, sometimes making it vulnerable to misinterpretation. Lust, mistrust, admiration, honesty, intensity . . . these are all stops along the way on this journey through a human soul. This is a true “Baptism by Fire”.

Story behind the song
Right there – a slick groove in the form of a woman created by the vibe of a borough in New York City . . . “she was from Brooklyn, baby”. If ever a song could harness the essence of the electromagnetic undertones of a fine female, “Brooklyn Baby” would be a most excellent gesture. Even before the first lyric emerges, the swagger of the baseline lets us know we’re about to slide right into an attitude we can’t shake. It’s a warm melody in hot pursuit of an urban swing. It’s an ode to the pleasure and mystery of infatuation. By the time the inevitable “fade out” is upon us, we’re left asking ourselves “what’s the quickest way to Brooklyn?”
Lyrics
Brooklyn Baby verse There she stood Surrounded in a corner Looking like she could use The rescue from a friend Now She was in no way in any Kind of danger How much flattery Can a female take From strangers on the make? Now how should I approach Without sounding like the rest They say honesty is best policy And her beauty overwhelmed me What she possessed Made me almost second guess But I can’t let her get away from me Pre chorus Never had I had such beauty At arms reach And I never thought That she could be diggin me And I never thought That all the other ones could disappear Until now Chorus (She was from Brooklyn baby) She was from Brooklyn baby (She was from Brooklyn baby) And she had a swagga like I never seen before (She was from Brooklyn baby, baby) That girls she’s just bad And I know (tonight im gonna find a way To make her mine) verse When I made my entrance Into the room I was hoping id be (on your mind) For the rest of the evening At my highest Level of expectation (I didn’t think youd be That overwhelming to me) So I Stood incorrect But never before had it seemed so right (uh hunh) It was your bodied halo That brought me to you tonight (Said I need and want Everything that you own) And in trade when I awake From this daze you’ll own my soul Pre chorus Never had I had such beauty At arms reach And I never thought That she could be diggin me And I never thought That all the other ones could disappear Until now Chorus (She was from Brooklyn baby) She was from Brooklyn baby (She was from Brooklyn baby) And she had a swagga like I never seen before (She was from Brooklyn baby, baby) That girls she’s just bad And I know (tonight im gonna find a way To make her mine)
