Alien Parachute Man is a 4-piece progressive hard rock hailing from Portland, OR. After months of frantic work, APM has released their highly-anticipated debut album "Heat of the Land". APM has existed in its current form since 2009, although some of the members have been playing together for over a decade. The band gleefully abandoned the rigidity of their previous incarnations and the music of "Heat of the Land" reflects this. The songs are diverse and range from folk ballads (“Hymn for a Heathen”) to space rock (“The Words to Say”) to pounding metal (“Abstention”). The CD release contains gorgeous original artwork, eye-popping photography tied to the album’s theme, as well as lyrics for all the tracks.
