Story behind the song
This is a story of a young girl named Remy. She was barely a woman and was betroved to a man almost old enough to be her father. Feeling betrayed by her own family, she is desperate to flee her destiny. One day at the busy market she ducks out of sight from her mother and two brothers. Running in any direction she senses freedom she seeks refuge near a tavern. Tired and afraid she sets down in the alley way near the back door. Then from nowhere a strong hand grabs her arm and pulls her near. The smell of alchol and smoke lingers in his clothing and offends her nose. He offers her a drink of water only to drug her and she dreams of the great dispair she has left her family. When she awaken's again she finds herself in the back of a van locked inside and traveling a strange country side. Sold to slavery she fears the worst and regrets her decision to flee.
