Lyrics
Daddy was walking down Magazine Street When a cool looking cat jumped Out of a tree It landed right in front of him and Didn’t even blink Making Daddy stop short before he Had time to think It had thick blue fur and Whiskers so long You could have strung a guitar with them and Played a cat song Six-foot-six on its Hind legs and tail Just-a snappin’ its claws like-a Elvis in jail What a time What a time they had Daddy and the cat What a time they had Doing the cat rap What a time they had Daddy and the cat What a time they had She was looking right at Daddy with those Big blue cat eyes Till Daddy started shaking he was hypnotized His fingers started snapping to the Rhythm of the cat His toes started tapping This way then that It had thick blue fur and Whiskers so long You could have strung a guitar with them and Played a cat song Six-foot-six on its Hind legs and tail Just-a snappin’ its claws like-a Elvis in jail Chorus: What a time What a time they had Daddy and the cat What a time they had Doing the cat rap What a time they had Daddy and the cat What a time they had Doing the cat rap cat rap cat rap cat rap
