Lyrics
Hands up who wants to hear me play Copyright© 2011 by Nadia Cripps and Wyman Griffith Lyrics by Nadia Cripps and Wyman Griffith Music, piano © by Nadia Cripps. Vocals by Sheila Kaufman Intro I thought that you might laugh at me So I've decided to laugh first LOL my recordings are not the way they should be But they rather sound like reversed V I have mic piano and audacity Looks like that'd be enough for me Yet,I dream sometimes that I can sing Like a nightingale welcoming the spring V Submissions when I stretch my vocal cords Seem to always end up being ignored I'll carry on the best that I know how That will have to suffice for here and now C I'll just carry on anyway Heads up who wants to hear me play Still I continue hoping that some day Sometime, someone will say hooray, hooray I hope it's OK to have a dream And possibly create a musical theme So this is what I here and now propose If I should compose a song about a rose Just my piano with no words to sing Do you say that's just an instrumental thing C I'll just carry on anyway Heads up who wants to hear me play y Writing songs is not a way to get rich But still I feel that I must scratch the itch 'Cause if I didn't write I couldn't live Love is the only reason I can give I'll just carry on anyway Hands up who wants to hear me play
